I am so lucky to be surrounded by such supportive and wonderful women. This past weekend, my local college girlfriends got together to celebrate Baby Chase #2. It was a lovely evening filled with delicious food, drink, and conversation. This get together was exactly what I needed after a long and stressful work week.

I have really been blessed with amazing lifelong friends from all facets of my life. And I love that each of my girlfriends is so unique and each fills a different role in my life. I can only hope that my Beatrice and this next baby are enveloped in an equally special circle of friends.

3 Become 6

My two oldest and bestest friends have been in my life for nearly 25 years. We've been through everything together. There is something so comforting about having friends that know everything about you. It saves so much explanation time.

We currently find ourselves in the unique circumstance of all being pregnant at the same time. If we all have girls (Bri knows she's having a girl, Alli will find out the gender via ultrasound next month, and I'll await the doctor's announcement in 3 weeks on Lillian's birthday!), we could be growing this group to 5 little girls! Regardless of how the sexes play out, I cannot wait to watch this brood of kids grow up together.

My "Enough Talking/More Doing" List

Consume smaller amount of new goods. Before buying something new, look at 2nd hand stores and craigslist, freecycle, eBay, etc.
Create a 'workshop' in the house
Eat more organic/natural foods and less processed foods. DONE: Thanks to garden and bday gift of Boston Organics.
Find a way to work in tropical location for the month of January
Go back to St. John. DONE. UPDATE: Try and get back to St. John every 2.5 years.
Go on one girls weekend a year
Grow a successful garden. DONE. Semi-successful home and community garden.
Lose the last baby lbs. DONE. UPDATED: Keep off baby lbs.
Run a 5K. DONE. UPDATE: Run a 5K every year.
Take a photo composition class
Try something new every month.
Wear more sunscreen this summer. DONE- wore 30 mostly all summer.

Non-Facebook 25ish Things

When I was 20, I traveled to Grenada in the West Indies. I didn't know where exactly it was until I saw a map in the airport.
To date, I've had 7 surgeries- 4 knee, 1 back, 1 wisdom teeth, 1 c-section. Fortunately and unfortunately I enjoy painkillers.
On my wedding day, a black cat crossed our path and hung around for photos. Is that a bad omen?
My daughter is named (her middle name) after my sister. My nephew is named after me. That makes me smile.
My husband and daughter are tall, thin, and have curly hair. Sufficed to say, I am the complete opposite.
I've never been pulled over. I've now cursed myself. UPDATE: I was pulled over for speeding on 4/22. Got off with just a warning. Thank you, kind officer.
I've been to Crackow, Poland. Its just as grey as you picture it.
My baby is 1/4 Polish/Russian Jew, 1/4 Azorean Portuguese, 1/4 Ecuadorian, 1/16 Frech Canadian, 1/16 Scottish, 1/16 Irish, and 1/16 British (I think).
I've been in therapy on and off for about 10 years. I am currently 'on.'
I've always been afraid of traveling to the moon. I know, its irrational, but for some reason, I've always imagined that travel to the moon would become normal in my lifetime and I'd be pressured to go and that scares me to no end. That scene from Apollo 13 where they're in the space shuttle and see the face of the moon for the first time terrifies me.
I'm a Cancer so I hold a sick grudge. Its not a good personality trait.
My parents divorced when I was 11. I haven't seen/talked to my father in 15 years. That's a longer story for a longer day.
I was at Disney World when I was 13, I saw Nitro and Gemini from American Gladiators.
I have an unhealthy relationship with peanut butter. It is banned from my house.
I hate scary movies and roller coasters. I hate everything that makes my heart stop... its really just taking precious moments off the end of my life.
I get a rush out of condensing things. Like putting things into smaller tuppeware containers. Its odd, I know.
I don't own an iPod. I don't know how to download music. I don't have a Facebook profile. I'm surprised Blogger allowed me to have a Blog.
I can't really remember many details of my childhood. The one that I do remember happened when I was in the 1st grade. A girl across from me at the lunch table was playing with a packet of tartar sauce. It exploded like a cannon and shot into my butt-long hair. Have you ever tried to wipe tartar sauce out of your hair? It leaves its essence behind.
I can eat an entire cheese pizza without batting an eyelash. I'm both proud and ashamed of that fact.
I am really adept at catching things w/ one hand. 2 hands is another story.
I am NOT an animal person. Recently my husband told me, completely deadpan, that he would have re-considered marrying me if I was truly an animal person. Guess I lucked out.
I am named after my paternal great-grandmother.
5 years ago, when my sister was 27, she battled and beat breast cancer. She's my hero.
1 week after college graduation, I traveled with my husband (then boyfriend) to Thailand for a month.
