A Life of Chaos

May and June have been busy months for us. A couple of the highlights include selling and buying a car and birthing a baby.

And now for the latest development. We are weeks away from buying a new house! We haven't talked about it too much since the process has been painstakingly slow and filled with minor obstacles (i.e. finding the house back on the market when I was 38 weeks pregnant*, dealing with negotiations while in the hospital having a baby, signing paperwork while in a sleep deprived haze, etc.) As of now everything is good to go for a mid-July closing. Please keep your fingers crossed for us. For the time being, we are hanging on to our current house. Please let us know if you know anyone looking to rent.

*This house is .2 miles from our current house. Every since we moved to this neighborhood 5 1/2 years ago, I've always walked by this house and said "we are buying that house if it ever goes on the market." A couple of years ago the "For Sale" sign went up and I was filled with the "it's meant to be, it's the universe telling us something" pipe dream. After a closer look, it was clear that it wasn't meant to be. The inside was really dated and the price was too high. Fast forward to last month when the "For Sale" sign went back up. The house had been foreclosed on, purchased by a developer, updated, flipped, and priced lower. My pipe dream lived to see another day.
